After climbing straight up for several miles, We finally reached the ruins of the actual Sinhagad Fort.
The fort has quite a long history, dating back to 1350 A.D. The Kaundinyeshwar temple, the caves and the carvings indicate that this fort had probably been built as far back as two thousand years ago.
I would say that is would have been very easy to defend. There is no freaking way an army would sneak up this hill.
