Manoj and Bhupali's mothers performed part of the ceremony. They first passed a milling stone under the crib several times. They then did the same with the baby. Then Manoj's sister whispered the baby's name in the ear of the baby. Traditionally the grandparents would choose the name and the baby would be the first person to hear the name.
